Our aim is to give the children space and time in the afternoon to breathe out and digest what is happening at school and to offer them a bit of a "home". The children should be given the opportunity to feel at ease, to enjoy comfort, to have trustworthy caregivers around them, to play, rest, paint, romp ... ... And at the same time, development and learning take place.

Free play is of fundamental importance for the creative and imaginative discovery of the world and one's own possibilities in it. Learning and adhering to self-imposed rules and taking on different roles in free play enable the child to develop individually to a large extent. Free play, which is supervised by the educator but as uninfluenced as possible, needs the right methodological space.

The free game

Children's powers of fantasy and imagination, which form the basis for all abstract, later thought processes, awaken and unfold through individual, purpose-free play and artistic activity. For their self-education processes at this age, children need many concrete, tangible stimuli. Abstract learning content is therefore deliberately avoided if no sensory connections can be made.

Free painting

Free painting and animated artistic creation with suitable materials enable the children to process their experiences and express their inner worlds and feelings.

Awaken your own creativity

The nature of the educational materials and toys is also geared towards awakening the child's own images and creativity so that the child can develop these on their own. Wood, stones, cones, wool and other natural materials stimulate the senses and, unlike plastic, have an information content for the feeling hand and establish a connection to nature.

Cycle of the seasons

The rhythmic daily routine also follows the cycle of the seasons and festivals. Its regularity provides security, conveys a sense of security and represents clear reliability for the children. The pedagogical design of continuity in terms of time and content enables the children to engage more deeply in free play and "being completely with themselves".

Emotional immersion

Very important for the development of the individual imagination is the inner creation of images, stimulated by the emotional "immersion" in fairy tales and stories, read or told by the caregiver. In good stories and fairy tales, connections between culture, nature and people come to light and are anchored in the child through their own images.

In our opinion, media such as CDs, cassettes and radio do not promote language development. They can even interfere with differentiated hearing development up to the age of 10 and are therefore not used by us.

Through our work as group educators, we aim to support the children's social, emotional and intellectual skills in a way that promotes their development.

Everyday life

Experiencing and participating in everyday and natural processes, such as baking cakes, kneading bread dough or sweeping rooms, and thus also learning patience and mindfulness, is one of the many sub-goals of our educational work.
