Every child is unique, and so is their admission to Dresden Waldorf School. Admission to the first classes is handled by a separate admission group consisting of teachers from various departments and the school doctors.
Subsequent admissions are handled by the educational administration group in cooperation with the class teachers or class tutors, provided there is space.
Admission is always completed before any financial discussions and is therefore independent of the financial means of the parents.

Dear parents, for the admission of your child, we require an informal, written application with the following content: address, telephone number, data on your child (date of birth, year of enrolment, reasons for school selection, if applicable, request for deferral) or, in the case of lateral entrants, the reason for the change of school and a copy of the last school report.

The binding registration deadline for admission to first grade is September 15 of the calendar year prior to enrollment, based on the admission deadlines for public schools.

If you are considering a deferral for your child, please make sure you inform us of this at the official medical examination. A note in the examination report ("parents' request for deferral") leaves more options open for Waldorf educational admission procedures - usually at a later date - without obligation.
