Impressions from the Teachers' Congress 01.10.2014 - 04.10.2014
Under the motto "Recognizing the future - daring the present", more than 1000 colleagues from Waldorf schools, curative education schools, Waldorf kindergartens and after-school care centres as well as parents, pupil representatives and students from Waldorf teacher seminars met at the Freie Waldorfschule and the Dresden Congress Centre from 1 to 4 October 2014.
The focus was on the artistic approach to Waldorf education. In numerous lectures, workshops and courses, the teachers explored the question of what schools can do to meet the demands of the future.
The performance "Schöpfe Du", which 200 pupils, teachers and many helpers had created especially for the congress, was enthusiastically received. The sixth form choir and orchestra performed a collage on the theme of creation, which was complemented by elements from the arts, such as a performance and a painting activity, and the natural sciences.
The film and photography group from the Freie Waldorfschule Dresden, led by Leon Babucke (Year 12a), took photographs.
